It’s never an easy conversation, but sometimes you have to fire your house cleaner, and those uncomfortable conversations must happen. If you’re not happy with your house cleaner’s work, or if they’re not meeting your expectations, it’s time to let them go. In this blog post, we’ll give you some tips on how to fire your house cleaner respectfully and professionally. We’ve been fired by clients in the past, so we know what NOT to do!
First and foremost, be honest with your cleaner about why you’re firing them. Tell them that you’re not happy with their work and that they need to do better in the future. If you’re concerned about how they’ll react, don’t worry—we’ve been there before! Just be respectful and honest in your conversation, and they’ll likely appreciate it.
If giving bad news in person is too hard for you, please consider calling your cleaner instead of emailing them. An email would be the worst way to fire someone, as it’s not personal and could easily be misinterpreted. The absolute worst way to fire a house cleaner is to ask your new cleaner to tell the old one the bad news!
Finally, remember to leave the door open for your cleaner to return if a new one doesn’t work out. They may have been an excellent cleaner for you in the past, and it’s always worth giving them another chance.
